Occidental Mindoro is a province in the Philippines situated in the MIMAROPA region grouped under the Luzon island group. Its capital is the Municipality of Mamburao.

The province has a land area of 5,865.71 square kilometers or 2,264.76 square miles. The 2015 Census records its population as 487,414 representing 16.45% of the total population of the MIMAROPA region, 0.85% of the overall population of the Luzon island group, or 0.48% of the entire population of the Philippines. Based on such figures, the population density is computed at 83 inhabitants per square kilometer or 215 inhabitants per square mile.
