Batanes is a province in the Philippines situated in the Cagayan Valley region occupying the northeastern section of Luzon. Its capital is the Municipality of Basco.

The province has a land area of 219.01 square kilometers or 84.56 square miles. The 2015 Census records its population as 17,246 representing 0.50% of the total population of the Cagayan Valley region, 0.03% of the overall population of the Luzon island group, or 0.02% of the entire population of the Philippines.
