Magallanes is a coastal municipality in the province of Sorsogon.
The municipality has a land area of 150.09 square kilometers or 57.95 square miles which constitutes 7.08% of Sorsogon's total area. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 37,411. This represented 4.51% of the total population of Sorsogon province, or 0.62% of the overall population of the Bicol Region.
