Marantao is a landlocked municipality in the coastal province of Lanao del Sur.
The municipality has a land area of 660.00 square kilometers or 254.83 square miles which constitutes 4.38% of Lanao del Sur's total area. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 37,763.
