Misamis Occidental is a province in the Philippines situated in the Northern Mindanao region occupying the northern-central section of Mindanao. Its capital is the City of Oroquieta.

The province has a land area of 2,055.22 square kilometers or 793.52 square miles. The 2015 Census records its population as 602,126 representing 12.84% of the total population of the Northern Mindanao region, 2.49% of the overall population of the Mindanao island group, or 0.60% of the entire population of the Philippines. Based on such figures, the population density is computed at 293 inhabitants per square kilometer or 759 inhabitants per square mile.
