Valencia, formerly known as Luzurriaga, is a landlocked municipality in the coastal province of Negros Oriental.
The municipality has a land area of 147.49 square kilometers or 56.95 square miles which constitutes 2.72% of Negros Oriental's total area. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 38,733. This represented 2.70% of the total population of Negros Oriental province, or 0.48% of the overall population of the Central Visayas region.
