La Paz is a landlocked municipality in the coastal province of Leyte.
The municipality has a land area of 72.70 square kilometers or 28.07 square miles which constitutes 1.15% of Leyte's total area. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 19,174. This represented 1.08% of the total population of Leyte province, or 0.42% of the overall population of the Eastern Visayas region.
