Bontoc is a coastal municipality in the province of Southern Leyte.
The municipality has a land area of 102.10 square kilometers or 39.42 square miles which constitutes 5.67% of Southern Leyte's total area. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 29,799. This represented 6.94% of the total population of Southern Leyte province, or 0.66% of the overall population of the Eastern Visayas region.
