Calanasan, formerly known as Bayag, is a municipality in the landlocked province of Apayao.
The municipality has a land area of 1,256.15 square kilometers or 485.00 square miles which constitutes 27.90% of Apayao's total area. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 12,550. This represented 10.09% of the total population of Apayao province, or 0.70% of the overall population of the Cordillera Administrative Region.
