The municipality has a land area of 295.97 square kilometers or 114.27 square miles which constitutes 10.69% of Benguet's total area. Its population as determined by the 2015 Census was 47,648. This represented 10.73% of the total population of Benguet province, or 2.77% of the overall population of the Cordillera Administrative Region.
