Rosario is a coastal municipality in the province of La Union.
The municipality has a land area of 73.98 square kilometers or 28.56 square miles which constitutes 4.93% of La Union's total area. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 60,278. This represented 7.33% of the total population of La Union province, or 1.14% of the overall population of the Ilocos Region.
