The municipality has a land area of 318.80 square kilometers or 123.09 square miles which constitutes 8.02% of Nueva Vizcaya's total area. Its population as determined by the 2015 Census was 37,705. This represented 8.34% of the total population of Nueva Vizcaya province, or 1.09% of the overall population of the Cagayan Valley region.
