Balagtas, formerly known as Bigaa, is a landlocked municipality in the coastal province of Bulacan.
The municipality has a land area of 28.66 square kilometers or 11.07 square miles which constitutes 1.03% of Bulacan's total area. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 77,018.
