Lipa is a landlocked component city in the coastal province of Batangas.
The city has a land area of 209.40 square kilometers or 80.85 square miles which constitutes 6.72% of Batangas's total area. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 372,931. This represented 12.82% of the total population of Batangas province, or 2.30% of the overall population of the CALABARZON region.
