The municipality has a land area of 95.59 square kilometers or 36.91 square miles which constitutes 6.07% of Cavite's total area. Its population as determined by the 2015 Census was 226,188. This represented 6.15% of the total population of Cavite province, or 1.57% of the overall population of the CALABARZON region.
