Legazpi is a coastal component city in the province of Albay. It serves as the provincial capital as well as the regional center of the Bicol Region.

The city has a land area of 153.70 square kilometers or 59.34 square miles which constitutes 5.97% of Albay's total area. Its population as determined by the 2015 Census was 196,639. This represented 14.96% of the total population of Albay province, or 3.39% of the overall population of the Bicol Region.
