Parang is a coastal municipality in the province of Maguindanao.
The municipality has a land area of 850.78 square kilometers or 328.49 square miles which constitutes 8.53% of Maguindanao's total area. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 102,914. This represented 7.67% of the total population of Maguindanao province, or 2.34% of the overall population of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
