Sultan Kudarat, formerly known as Nuling, is a coastal municipality in the province of Maguindanao.

The municipality has a land area of 712.91 square kilometers or 275.26 square miles which constitutes 7.33% of Maguindanao's total area. Its population as determined by the 2015 Census was 95,201. This represented 8.11% of the total population of Maguindanao province, or 2.52% of the overall population of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
