Old Panamao is a coastal municipality in the island province of Sulu.

The municipality has a land area of 107.57 square kilometers or 41.53 square miles which constitutes 3.13% of Sulu's total area. Its population as determined by the 2015 Census was 40,998. This represented 4.97% of the total population of Sulu province, or 1.08% of the overall population of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
