Sumisip is a coastal municipality in the island province of Basilan.
The municipality has a land area of 567.60 square kilometers or 219.15 square miles which constitutes 16.44% of Basilan's total area. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 47,345. This represented 11.11% of the total population of Basilan province, or 1.07% of the overall population of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
