Poona Bayabao, formerly known as Gata, is a landlocked municipality in the coastal province of Lanao del Sur.
The municipality has a land area of 280.00 square kilometers or 108.11 square miles which constitutes 1.86% of Lanao del Sur's total area. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 31,141.
