Sultan sa Barongis, formerly known as Lambayong, is a landlocked municipality in the coastal province of Maguindanao.
The municipality has a land area of 291.30 square kilometers or 112.47 square miles which constitutes 2.92% of Maguindanao's total area. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 24,476. This represented 1.82% of the total population of Maguindanao province, or 0.56% of the overall population of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
