San Francisco, formerly known as Anao-Aon, is a coastal municipality in the province of Surigao del Norte.
The municipality has a land area of 53.71 square kilometers or 20.74 square miles which constitutes 2.75% of Surigao del Norte's total area. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 15,347. This represented 2.87% of the total population of Surigao del Norte province, or 0.55% of the overall population of the Caraga region.
