Sominot, formerly known as Don Mariano Marcos, is a landlocked municipality in the coastal province of Zamboanga del Sur.

The municipality has a land area of 111.52 square kilometers or 43.06 square miles which constitutes 2.48% of Zamboanga del Sur's total area. Its population as determined by the 2015 Census was 18,537.
