Maco is a coastal municipality in the province of Compostela Valley.

The municipality has a land area of 342.23 square kilometers or 132.14 square miles which constitutes 7.64% of Compostela Valley's total area. Its population as determined by the 2015 Census was 81,277. This represented 11.04% of the total population of Compostela Valley province, or 1.66% of the overall population of the Davao Region.
