Maragusan, formerly known as San Mariano, is a landlocked municipality in the coastal province of Davao de Oro.

The municipality has a land area of 394.27 square kilometers or 152.23 square miles which constitutes 8.65% of Davao de Oro's total area. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 64,412. This represented 8.39% of the total population of Davao de Oro province, or 1.23% of the overall population of the Davao Region.
