Monkayo is a landlocked municipality in the coastal province of Davao de Oro.
The municipality has a land area of 609.61 square kilometers or 235.37 square miles which constitutes 13.37% of Davao de Oro's total area. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 93,937.
