Calinog is a landlocked municipality in the coastal province of Iloilo.
The municipality has a land area of 274.55 square kilometers or 106.00 square miles which constitutes 5.49% of Iloilo's total area. Its population as determined by the 2015 Census was 60,413. This represented 3.12% of the total population of Iloilo province, or 0.80% of the overall population of the Western Visayas region.
