The municipality has a land area of 335.06 square kilometers or 129.37 square miles which constitutes 7.02% of Bohol's total area. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 81,799. This represented 5.87% of the total population of Bohol province, or 1.01% of the overall population of the Central Visayas region.
