Danao is a coastal component city in the island province of Cebu.

The city has a land area of 107.30 square kilometers or 41.43 square miles which constitutes 2.17% of Cebu's total area. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 156,321. This represented 4.70% of the total population of Cebu province, or 1.93% of the overall population of the Central Visayas region.
