Valencia, formerly known as Luzurriaga, is a landlocked municipality in the coastal province of Negros Oriental.

The municipality has a land area of 147.49 square kilometers or 56.95 square miles which constitutes 2.74% of Negros Oriental's total area. Its population as determined by the 2015 Census was 34,852. This represented 2.57% of the total population of Negros Oriental province, or 0.47% of the overall population of the Central Visayas region. Based on these figures, the population density is computed at 236 inhabitants per square kilometer or 612 inhabitants per square mile.
