Abuyog is a coastal municipality in the province of Leyte.
The municipality has a land area of 688.25 square kilometers or 265.73 square miles which constitutes 10.86% of Leyte's total area. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 61,216. This represented 3.45% of the total population of Leyte province, or 1.35% of the overall population of the Eastern Visayas region.
