Baybay is a coastal component city in the province of Leyte.
The city has a land area of 459.34 square kilometers or 177.35 square miles which constitutes 7.25% of Leyte's total area. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 111,848. This represented 6.29% of the total population of Leyte province, or 2.46% of the overall population of the Eastern Visayas region.
