Carigara is a coastal municipality in the province of Leyte.
The municipality has a land area of 117.86 square kilometers or 45.51 square miles which constitutes 1.86% of Leyte's total area. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 54,656. This represented 3.08% of the total population of Leyte province, or 1.20% of the overall population of the Eastern Visayas region.
