Gandara is a coastal municipality in the province of Samar.
The municipality has a land area of 573.49 square kilometers or 221.43 square miles which constitutes 9.48% of Samar's total area. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 35,242. This represented 4.44% of the total population of Samar province, or 0.78% of the overall population of the Eastern Visayas region.
