San Juan, formerly known as Cabalian, is a coastal municipality in the province of Southern Leyte.

The municipality has a land area of 96.12 square kilometers or 37.11 square miles which constitutes 5.34% of Southern Leyte's total area. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 14,912. This represented 3.47% of the total population of Southern Leyte province, or 0.33% of the overall population of the Eastern Visayas region. Based on these figures, the population density is computed at 155 inhabitants per square kilometer or 402 inhabitants per square mile.
