About PhilAtlas

Finding a quick and accessible detailed reference for a locality in the Philippines can be challenging because of fragmented data sources and scarcity of data. While information for several major cities is readily available, the same could not be said for many of the lesser-known localities. At PhilAtlas, we believe that geographic data can be correlated with development and that there is a need to balance this phenomenon, to fill the need for structured unbiased information.

PhilAtlas is an independent ongoing project focused on Philippine geographic and administrative divisions. It was created with the objective of integrating vital and reliable raw information into a unified and standardized format. Primarily, it aims to foster interest and awareness in Philippine geography and local governance and to provide equal exposure to all of the Philippines' local divisions, from a major city to a remote barangay.
